Our Midway - Major Rides
Change to:

Chaos

The Chaos is an adventure in three dimensions all at once.  It rotates in circles, tilts 70 degrees while spinning in the sky, and each seat flips in full circles.  The open air seats give rider the unrestricted feeling of flinging through chaos.  Because the action of the seats is totally random, no two rides are ever the same.

Dumbo Flying Elephant

Dumbo the Flying Elephant is a spectacular family ride that mom and dad can ride along with their child.  Riders are able to control the height that their Dumbo flies through the sky.

Eagle 16 Ferris Wheel

The Eagle 16 Ferris Wheel is a 60ft tall traditional ferris wheel.  The Eagle 16 features 16 two to three passenger seats.  At night, the Eagle 16 illuminates the surrounding area with its double star light show.

Enterprise Galaxy

In the ride, up to two people sit in one of 20 gondolas arranged in a circle, one in front of the other. The ride moves clockwise, dispelling a slight amount of centrifugal force. A hydraulically-powered arm underneath the ride then raises and tilts the frame so that the ride is rotating at 87 degrees from the horizontal, transforming the ride from a horizontal experience to a nearly vertical one.

Footloose

The ride is made up of a central column supporting two swinging arms. On each side of the arms a vehicle is fixed, while at the other side a counterweight is connected. Its movement is basically very simple, its arms swing up progressively to the top and at the end it makes a complete rotation. Passengers are seated inside the vehicle, whose safety is guaranteed by overhead shoulder bar and a double locking system.  Riders' feet are free to swing as this ride has an 'open-air' concept.

Freak Out

Imported from the Netherlands, the Freak Out is a spectacular spinning and high swinging ride that twirls riders at heights of 50ft while swinging them back and forth.  Riders are secured in floorless seats using over-the-shoulder restraints.

Gondola Wheel

The Gondola Wheel is a spectacular, 66' tall capable of holding 64 passengers per ride cycle. At night, the Gondola Wheel can be seen for miles with its computerized light show.

Hi Roller

Riders enter one of the five, 4 person cars and are secured in. First the train of cars begins to travel around the oval track while it is still in the vertical postion. Eventually the oval track begins to rotate horizontally, adding a thrilling up-down-side-side-upside-down motion for all riders!

Himalaya

The Himalaya entertains customers of all ages. Young and old alike get great pleasure from this spectacular ride. It spins at 11.5 RPM for exciting big-ride action at a speed that thrills everyone. The kids love the ride action in the 22 spacious, flashy, one-piece fiberglass cars. Each car seat is lined with rugged, custom molded foam padding. Excited passengers add up to tremendous 1,200-per-hour capacity.

Hurricane

The Hurricane consists of 6 arms, each carrying 4 people, which undergo a fast rotation combined with a series of fast-paced bounces. This gives riders of all ages a fun, action-packed ride as the bouncing arms expose the rider to varied speeds and spinning forces, as well as feelings of weightlessness.

Kamikaze

The ride is made up of a central column supporting two swinging arms. On each side of the arms a vehicle is fixed, while at the other side a counterweight is connected.  Its movement is basically very simple, its arms swing up progressively to the top and at the end it makes a complete rotation.  Passengers are seated inside the vehicle, whose safety is guaranteed by overhead shoulder bar and a double locking system.

Magic Carpet

The Magic Carpet has a tall tower with a swinging arm that moves side to side in a circle motion. Fixed to both sides of the swinging arm are two drive shafts that run from the connection point of the stationary tower and swinging arm, to the connection point where the swinging arm attaches to the passenger gondola which keep the passenger gondola upright.

Mardi Gras

The Mardi Gras is a huge attraction for all ages!  It has 2 stories of rooms each featuring a different 'midway funhouse mainstay' such as the curved mirrors and a huge spiral slide!

Music Fest

The Music Fest is an amusement ride which consists of a number of cars attached to axles that swing in and out. The hill and valley shape of the ride causes a pronounced swinging motion: the faster the ride goes, the more dramatic the swinging motion.

Nitro

The Nitro is a spectacular ride that swings riders up to 50ft in the air, while spinning them at the same time!  The Nitro is a unique ride, not only on the Happy World midway, but also throughout the USA, being one of only two in existance.

Paratrooper

The Paratrooper, also known as an "Umbrella Ride", is a type of fairground ride based on cars suspended below a wheel which rotates at an oblique angle. The cars are free to rock sideways and swing out under centrifugal force and the wheel rotates. Invariably, the cars on a Paratrooper have an umbrella or other shaped canopy above the riders. In contrast to modern thrill rides, the Paratrooper is a ride suitable for almost all ages (except for infants and very small children).

Rock'n'Roll

The ride features twenty 3-passenger cars connected in a circle. These cars rotate on a track with alternating sloped and flat sections. Rotation is possible in both a backwards and forwards direction, as the ride is manually operated. The riders in each car are restrained by a single solid lap bar that is locked across the body of the car, making the ride unsuitable for young children or people of short stature. The bar must be manually locked or unlocked, and only locks in one position.

Scrambler

The Scrambler is an amusement ride in which suspended riders spinning in cars experience the illusion that they will crash into other suspended, spinning cars. Riders are seated in small carriages clustered together and connected by beams at the top to a central point. The clustered vehicles are spun in one direction, while the ride as a whole spins in the opposite direction.

Starship 2000

The Starship will energize thrill seekers into the 21st century!  Its spectacular scenery and exhilarating lighting draws huge crowds. This fantastic action experience guarantees satisfied customers. Spinning at 24 RPM, The  Starship uses centrifugal force to float the passengers off the floor, giving them the feeling of weightlessness. Dollar for dollar, the best thrill ride value in the amusement business: The Starship features capacity for 45 people. Its fast loading and unloading is capable of handling 1000 riders per hour!

Thunderbolt

The Thunderbolt is an amusement ride which consists of a number of cars attached to axles that swing in and out. The hill and valley shape of the ride causes a pronounced swinging motion: the faster the ride goes, the more dramatic the swinging motion.

Tilt-a-Whirl

The Tilt-a-Whirl is a platform-type ride, consisting of seven freely-spinning cars that hold three - four riders each, which are attached at fixed pivot points on a rotating platform. As the platform revolves, parts of the platform are raised and lowered, and the resulting centrifugal and gravitational forces on the cars cause them to spin in different directions and at variable speeds.

Tip Top

The Tip Top is a platform type ride that begins to spin, it raises in the air sending the free spinning tubs in every which direction.

Toboggan

The Toboggan is a spectacular roller coaster attraction that takes riders down a corkscrew track!  This is one of only two Toboggan rides traveling in the USA.

Top Spin

The Top Spin is a thrill ride that consists of a passenger platform suspended between two counterweighted arms. The arms are turned by motors, while the platform generally only has brakes that are engaged and disengaged at various points of the ride cycle. A typical top spin program runs the main arm motors while engaging and disengaging the platform brakes so that it will rotate in exciting ways.

Whirlwind

The Whirlwind isn’t as predictable as a typical swing ride. Soon the entire ride assembly rises 7 1/2 feet and tilts a full 20 degrees. Riders have the sensation of being picked up in the middle of a twisting wind storm that flings them high into the air and then just as quickly swings them back to earth.

YoYo

This giant swing ride lifts passengers up off the ground, then swings them out over the crowds.  All while tilting slightly at full speed to give a thrilling "wave" effect while riding

Zipper

The Zipper has a long oblong frame that rotates like a Ferris wheel, with free-flipping cars suspended on off-center axes that move around the sides of the boom via a pulley system. Each passenger car is essentially a bench seat that snugly fits two people, built into a compartment of metal mesh contoured to protect the riders' entire bodies. The odd shaped cars spaced evenly along the perimeter of the boom, look very much like the rows of interlocking teeth on a zipper, the characteristic for which the ride was named.
